The iconic Harlem Globetrotters are coming to The Convo with their unrivaled family show, featuring some of the greatest athletes on the planet. With incredible ball handling wizardry, amazing rim-rattling dunks and trick shots, side-splitting comedy and unequaled on-court fan interaction, this must-see event is guaranteed to entertain the whole family.
The Globetrotters will face a great challenge this year, as the infamous Washington Generals are more determined than ever to beat the Globetrotters. The Generals, the last team to beat the Globetrotters, are now coached by a former member of that 1971 team. They are on a mission and will do whatever it takes to win, with a new strategy thats sure to give the Globetrotters a run for their money.
The must see tour of the winter, country music stars Lee Brice and Chris Young are bringing their One Night Live Tour to Jonesboro, Arkansas to the Convocation Center on Friday, February 6 at 7:30 p.m. Special guest, Brothers Osborne will open the show.
Brice began his career as a songwriter for big names such as Jason Aldean and Garth Brooks, soon after he took ahold of the country music scene himself. Brice is best known for tracks like Parking Lot Party, Love Like Crazy, I Drive Your Truck, which the latter earned him an ACM Song of the Year award, and I Dont Dance, CMA Award Nominee for Song of the Year.
Grammy-nominated and American Country Music Award winning recording artist, Chris Young is also a dynamic live performer, an international ambassador for his genre, and a talented songwriter with five number ones to his name. Young rose to fame as the 2006 winner of USA Networks' Nashville Star, show for country musicians. He's since scored hits with numbers like Drinkin' Me Lonely, You're Gonna Love Me and I Can Take It From There. Now, having released his fourth album, A.M., his current single Lonely Eyes is storming up the charts.
Having first started out with the Christian rap trio DC Talk, TobyMac has rose to great heights for a second time, now as a solo artist. TobyMac is coming to The Convocation Center Thursday, March 12 at 7:00 p.m.
TobyMac has worked hard to inspire his audience with words of conviction, hope, empowerment and the redemption found in his faith in God. Last year he topped 2 million in total albums sold during his solo career. Many of his singles blast Christian radio stations such as Speak Life and Me Without You. In all, TobyMac has received five Grammy awards, two Billboard Music Awards for Top Christian Artist and Top Christian Album, an American Music Award for Favorite Artist in the Contemporary/Inspirational category, Dove Awards for "Artist of the Year," "Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year," and many more. He has done it all with a combination of talent, hard work and humility which has produced songs that resonate with people from all walks of life.
